Ingredients
:
Refined Flour (maida) 1 1/2 cups
Milk Solids (khoya) 100 gms.
Sugar 1 1/4 cups
Milk 1 cup
Ghee 2 tbsps + to deep fry
Method
:
Make
a thick sugar syrup (3-string consistency) and keep
it warm.
Take the flour and add 2 tablespoons ghee and mix well.
Grate khoya. Mix with the flour. Make stiff dough using
milk.
Divide the dough into 4 parts. Roll it out into ½
cm. thick chapatis. Cut into squares with a sharp knife.
Deep fry in hot ghee till golden brown. Drain and transfer
immediately to the syrup. Stir till sugar coats each
piece properly and is dry. Cool and serve.
It can be stored for a week.
