Produced by Kumar S Taurani and Ramesh S Taurani, Ishq Vishk has been magically directed by Ken Ghosh who is very well known for directing ads and video films. Ishq Vishk is a campus movie and as the name clearly depicts by itself that it belongs to the world of romance. The story of the film revolves around the campus life. Ishq Vishk has vividly been targeted at young generation particularly those who are in schools and colleges respectively. The film features a crew of very young artists whose blood is much enthusiastic and passionate and who in return by their electric presentations makes the audience dance to the beats. Ishq Vishk starrs relatively new comers namely Shahid (who makes his debut with this flick but is popular already on behalf of his music videos and ads, which he has acted in), Shenaz (a popular gorgeous model and VJ of MTV India, she also uses Ishq Vishk as her launching pad), Amrita Rao (she has given appearances in Ab Ke Baras as a leading actress and in The Legend of Bhagat Singh as a guest star) and Yash Tonk, a well known TV artist. Anu Malik wears the outfits of the music director whereas Sameer sharpens his pen to write the lyrics for the film. Tips fulfills its duty to present this soundtrack, which has 10 tracks in total. The album has a wonderful piece of music featuring electric, catchy and romantic songs. No track even bores the listeners.

The soundtrack opens with Chot Dil Pe Lagi, a very melodious and romantic number all the way. Rendered by Kumar Sanu and Alisha Chinai, the track has very soft beats and a tender composition, which is very easy on the ears. Kumar and Alisha deliver the track in a sweet style. The song is ear-friendly and appeals to the listeners. A number, which can be hummed in all moods. Sameer does a wonderful job as a lyricist. His lyrics truly personify the theme of the song. Composition by Anu Malik is excellent. He really manages the tunes accurately in a perfect manner. In this soundtrack, one thing is very noticeable and that's the patch up between Anu and Alisha. Ages ago, this pair had given remarkable hits. And now as they have patched up, hit numbers will come up definitely. The result is pretty obvious with this album too. This song might top the charts in the days to come and can fetch awards too.

Kaun Hai Woh unzips itself next having Alisha Chinai and Udit Narayan as the singers of this track. The track is a good piece to listen. Music by Anu is wonderful whereas Sameer's lyrics can not do well. Alisha and Udit do justice to their jobs.

Kumar Sanu, Alisha Chinai and Sonu Nigam pocket the next number, Mujhpe Har Haseena. The track consists of pop, melody, jazz and bhangra taste respectively. Lyrics by Sameer are attractive. Anu arranges the tunes electrically magnificent in a manner through which the listeners can easily go along shaking hands with the number. Kumar Sanu, Alisha Chinai, and Sonu Nigam do their respective jobs pretty well and deserve full marks too. The song has a hearing effect and clearly reveals that a lot of effort must have gone into producing it.

Alka Yagnik fastens her seat belt to drive her voice on the smooth road of next track, Aisa Kyon Hota Hai. The song is romantically sweet and melodious. It comes on the ears easily leaving a tender effect. Alka renders it rhythmically well. The lyrics by Sameer raise the spirits. Anu seems in his element. Anu has been doing a magnificent job over the years. In this soundtrack, it seems he must have hummed and ha'd for ages before arranging tunes for it. The result is pretty well.

Mujhse Hui Bas Yeh Khata jumps into the album having Alka Yagnik doing the honors. Alka comes up as a sweet voiced vocalist here in this song too managing the cord of the number in a perfect style. Sameer's lyrics knowing its job fit well in the tunes of the music. Anu as a musician becomes a magician. The song registers a marvelous impact.

Love Love Tum Karo takes its position well. Sonu Nigam teams up with new bloods (new finds) Priya and Prachi to deliver this song. Routine lyrics along with some better music make the number so so. Sameer as a lyricist is below average whereas Anu Malik is adequate here.

Dooba Re Dooba flies taking Sonu Nigam along. An electric number all the way. Sonu energetically renders the track pretty well in an absolute perfect style. Lyrics are good. Sameer's pen does not come in a shaky position after writing earlier numbers. Anu's hands move in rhythmical waves creating a well-tuned music. A good number to amuse the listeners.

Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik wear their singing jacket and enter into the world of magic where they spread their magically sweet voice by rendering Aankhon Ne Tumhaari, all around. The lyrics do not lift the enthusiasm here. Sameer gets shaken here. Music is average. It seems Anu Malik takes a bit rest here after giving a good piece of music in earlier songs of the album. Only the vocalists impress in the song. The song can not stay with the listeners for a longer period of time.

The title song Ishq Vishq Pyaar Vyaar paints the rhythmical tunes next. The duo of Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik appear again spreading the melodies. The number attracts the listeners and is ear-friendly. An Anu's trademark all the way. Sameer gets new energies so does Anu. An impressive track, which could bag awards too.

Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar, I Believe in Love Love, a theme song, which wraps (up) the album. Sonu Nigam pairs up with Alisha Chinai to deliver this track. Both sing it well. Lyrics are good. Music too is up to the mark. A good number to lock the album.

On the whole, the soundtrack of Ishq Vishk is a brilliant piece of work by a magician, Anu Malik. Anu played a superb innings scoring a wonderful century. This centurion showcased all his skills here in this album and the magnificent result of it is in front of the listeners.
